SCWC San Diego 2012 Wrap-Up

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting–I have had the flu.

Wanted to write about my amazing time (once again) at the San Diego Southern California Writers Conference this past month. The atmosphere was charged with writers doing what they want to do–write. It was just the recharge I needed.

Between workshops, lectures, writing feedback, critiques, and special guest speakers, the weekend was a whirlwind of knowledge and fun. I ran into some old friends and made some new ones. I created good contacts, ate great food, and had a blast. For anyone out there who wants to write and needs that extra push, I recommend a writing conference. The writing world can be tough and solitary–knowing you aren’t alone, that you have support, and that people DO like your stories can reinspire your soul.

It did for mine.

Glad to hear the writers’ conference was a great experience. Having time for yourself, meeting up with old friends and making new friends and contacts — not to mention the nice weather and good food — sounds like the perfect combination for a great time. Take care and keep writing!
