Hey everyone! I’m SUPER excited about upcoming Minicon50, a science fiction convention held in Bloomington, MN, from Thursday, April 2nd- Sunday April 5th. Why am I so excited? I will be on 2 panels AND doing my first reading from my new science fantasy novel, ILLUSION! Not to mention the awesome guest stars (like Larry Niven and Michael Whelan) plus other fun panels (like “Sex with Aliens” and “The Zombie Connection”) and games (like Magic and Firefly).
Firstly, the panels:
On FRIDAY, April 3rd at 4pm: PUBLISHING AFTER THE DOOR SLAMS: What do you do when you discover you can’t sell to the big New York publishers? Writers talk about self-publishing, small press, Kickstarters, short stories, and more!
On SATURDAY, April 4th at 2:30pm: ARTISTIC BRAVERY: Releasing your work into the wild can be the scariest step in the artistic process. If you want people to see your work, you have to take the first step and share it. Hear stories from writers and artists dealing with the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to sharing.
And the reading!:
On SUNDAY, April 5th at 12:30pm-1:00pm: I will be doing a reading from ILLUSION! This is your chance to get a sneak “audio peek” at my upcoming novel. Click HERE to read a summary of the book.

I will be joined on Friday by Editor of Buzz & Roar Publishing, Stuart Tighe. Come talk to him about what it’s like to work in the publishing world and what tips he’d recommend when polishing your manuscripts.
On Sat and Sun I will be joined by illustrator Conrad Teves, artist for my comics and author/artist of upcoming Issue #1 of the Infinite Tinder series. Come and ask him about what it’s like to be a working artist and how he feels about collaborating on projects.
