When I was young, I oftentimes imagined I could breathe underwater. I would be in my bath, face down, and think about how cool it would be if I could stay like that.
Of course, I couldn’t, but it didn’t keep me from imagining it. (In fact, it spurred me on to become SCUBA certified!)
So my Theoretical Thursday is this:
If you could breathe underwater (in fresh water OR salt water, but only under healthy and safe conditions), would you?? CATCH: You would have to have VISIBLE gills on the sides of your neck for the rest of your life.
I remember Aquaman and the Sub-Mariner from the comics. Weren’t my thing. Wouldn’t necessarily veto the gills – would be great to see how a prospective employer would deal with it!

Oooo. Yeah if piercings and tattoos are a problem sometimes, gills would definitely raise some eyebrows.
Hell yes! It was always a dream of mine too. I swear I was able to achieve it partially at one time … at least in my youthful memories/imagination.
