Theoretical Thursday!! #boundaries

I’m getting ready to leave in 2 weeks for San Diego–I’ll be staffing at the Southern California Writers Conference! I’m super psyched. It’s the first conference I ever attended and received professional feedback from authors, editors, and agents alike. It really helped me hone my writing skills and helped me network/connect with other writers, many who I am still connected with today. Now I am eager to share all that I’ve learned and help new writers receive that same experience.

I’m also excited to be leading a workshop called Bend Your Boundaries: Twisting genres to spin new tales. It’s all about getting out of formulaic writing to find your own style and uniqueness to help build a following and stand out from other authors.

Boundaries are important as they can protect you and keep you from overexerting yourself. But sometimes they can be restrictive and hold you back.

So my Theoretical Thursday is this:

If you could choose one of your types of boundaries to bend (as in push outside of your comfort zone), without any anxiety or embarrassment, would you choose a) travel, b) relationships (romantic or platonic) or c) professional?
