As a special addition, my illustrator had this to say about this page:
“This page was an interesting challenge. We had decided to open the book with Noz waking up
from a nightmare, and had to transition this smoothly into the action, revealing both his mental
state and yet staying within the subtext of the story. Here is the remarkably surreal result.
I have to give a lot of credit to Christa for seeing possibilities in this approach that had not occurred to me. I’m particularly happy with the way she wanted the dialog boxes done for this page.”
